Method Research of the 3-D Modeling for Air Spring Rubber airbags Based on CATIA

Abstract: This paper mainly tell a method of creating the three-dimensional solid modeling of air spring rubber airbag parts through the 3D modeling software CATIA .At the same time, the structure, the air spring rubber bags’ modeling method, the modeling steps and modeling key are also introduced in the text.

0 introduction

Because of the air spring has great advantages on the damping performance, noise reduction, controllable height and so on than other elastic elements, so air springs’ applications are more and more extensive. However, the premise of application is to fully understand the air spring,at the same time analysis and research to its elastic properties are essential. With the rapid development of computer technology and the increasing maturity of engineering mechanics theory of finite element calculation , the research and development of air spring has turned to a combination way of computer simulation and experiment. At present, in Europe ,the United States, Japan and other countries computer virtual technique has been applied to research and develop the air spring, and some results on finite element calculation and control theory have been obtained. In China, although researches on the air spring are conducted , some results are achieved, but the study methods on the elastic property of air spring are still experiment and

mathematical model. As everyone knows, the test method is restricted and influenced by the test conditions and experimental environment, and the test cycle is longer.In the meantime, the mathematical model method has to make a large number of assumes to air springs before modeling,having great difference among the actual situation,and needs seaking model updating parameters through a lot of experiments for a long time. In contrast, using the finite element analysis can avoid the hypothesis of traditional method of mathematical model, and can simulate the air spring more real. Therefore, as contemporary college students we should keep pace with the times, learn to use the most advanced research methods in scientific research. Nevertheless,the premise of research on air spring by the finite element software is to build air spring three-dimentional solid modeling, and because the structure of air spring rubber airbag is relatively complex, bringing some difficulties for the build of solid modeling, this paper gives a detailed introduction to the modeling of air spring rubber balloon part combining actual operation.

1 The structure analysis of air spring airbag part Air spring rubber balloon is mainly composed of rubber and cord layer two parts, its structure, from the inside to the outside is inner rubber, cord fabric and the outer rubber layer three parts, as
